Bahan baku pupuk alami bisa juga dari kotoran binatang terutama binatan peliharaan.

Hampir semua kotoran hewan bisa digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pupuk kompos/organik. Kotoran hewan yang sering digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pupuk alami adalah berasal dari hewan yang biasanya dipeliharan oleh masyarakat, yaitu dari jenis mamalia dan unggas.

Kotoran sapi (yang saring kami gunakan), kambing, domba, ayam, dan itik atau bebek adalah merupakan bahan baku pembuatan pupuk kompos atau organik yang paling sering digunakan dalam dunia pertanian.

Tidak hanya kotorannya saja, ternyata air kencingnya (urine) juga bisa digunakan sebagai bahan baku pembuatan pupuk bokasi/organik, namun dalam hal ini bentuknya cair (POC).

Setiap hewan akan menghasilkan kotoran dengan jumlah dan komposisi yang berbeda-beda. Menurut penelitian, kotoran hewan telah memiliki kandungan unsur hara yang lengkap yang dibutuhkan oleh tanaman untuk tumbuh dan berkembang, baik unsur hara makro maupun mikro.

Selain mengandung unsur hara makro dan mikro, pupuk alami/organik kotoran hewan juga banyak mengandung unsur fosfat. Sedangkan nitrogen dan kalium banyak terdapat pada urine atau air kencing hewan.

Unsur hara mikro yang terkandung dalam pupuk organik dari kotoran hewan di antaranya:

1. kalsium
2. magnesium
3. sulfur
4. natrium
5. besi
6. tembaga
7. molibdenun

Kandungan nitrogen dalam urine atau air kencing hewan ternak 3 kali lipat lebih banyak bila dibandingkan dengan kandungan nitrogen pada kotoran padatnya. Sedangkan kandungan kalium dalam urine hewan lebih banyak 5 kali lipat dibanding dengan kotoran padatnya.

Komposisi kandungan hara pada kotoran unggas ayam 3 kali lebih besar daripada kandungan hara dari kotoran mamalia. Kotoran kambing mengandung kalium dan nitrogen lebih tinggi dari pada kotoran sapi.

Dari beberapa jenis kotoran hewan yang dapat digunakan sebagai pupuk organik tersebut di atas, kami biasanya menggunakan pupuk kandang kotoran sapi, selain tersedia melimpah di desa kami, harganya juga sangat murah, bahkan terkadang kami tidak usah membeli asalkan mau mengambil sendiri dari kandang milik warga.

On February 13, 2012, New Mexico State University Chile Pepper Institute identify Trinidad scorpion morouga as the hottest chilli in the world, with an average heat more than 1.2 million Scoville Hot Units (SHU), and individual plants with heat more than 2 million SHUs.

However Trinidad Moruga Scorpion has not been certified as the hottest pepper by the Guinness Book of World Records. The previous record holder is the Bhut Jolokia from India.

Like other chili, Yellow Trinidad Scorpion is also easy to grow. We grow this chili organically.

Preparation Plant Yellow Trinidad Scorpion

The following preparation plant tellow trinidad scorpion organically in the pot:

1. Prepare small pots or polybags.


2. Prepare the media for seedlings. Make sure a sterile growing media, it is to take precautions against germs.


3. For the sowing, use of fertile soil with humus moderate level.


4. Should not use compost or bulking kind of acidic soil, because will inhibit germination.


5. In order to obtain better results, soak the seeds overnight in water mixed with a liquid organic fertilizer, this will accelerate the growth of the seed.

This plant can grow up to 18 inches. Numex Twilight Becomes covered in peppers that start out purple, then turn yellow and orange, and finally red when ripe. This is the great attraction NuMex that can produce a rainbow effect on green plants.

NuMex Twilight chili has a Scoville rating 30000-50000, the same spicy with a cayenne pepper. Numex Twilight is colorful pepper plants are suitable to be placed on the front porch. How to grow chilli peppers?

This plant very ideal for patio, kitchen garden, greenhouse, conservatory. Numex Twilight need full sun sine, so must be place out door to get full sun.

How to sow?

Sow Chilli Pepper seeds on the surface of a good, free-draining, damp, seed sowing mix, and cover with a fine sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Place seed trays in a propagator at a temperature of 18-25C (64-77F) until after germination, which takes 7-10 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination.

When seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant into individual 7.5cm (3") pots of compost and grow on in cooler conditions. When plants are well grown and all risk of frost has passed, transplant them into grow bags and containers, or plant them in well prepared beds of fertile, moist, well drained soil. Chili peppers may be grown undercover in a greenhouse or polytunnel, or grown outdoors in a sheltered position in full sun. When growing chilli peppers outdoors, gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions over a period of 7 to 10 days prior to transplanting them. Space pepper plants at a distance of 50cm (20") apart.

Aftercare:

Water chilli pepper plants regularly throughout the growing season and feed weekly with a high potash tomato fertiliser once the first fruits have set. Taller varieties of chilli peppers may require staking. Provide a thick mulch of organic matter around the base of the plants to help conserve moisture and reduce weed growth. In greenhouses, maintain high humidity by damping down paths daily. Harvest chillies singly by cutting them from the plant with secateurs or pull the entire plant when full of red peppers, and hang upside down in the kitchen for use all year round.
